The HORNETS began as a club team for Lenoir Rhyne College.  Alumni players played club teams in the surrounding area.  As interest gathered, more players came from outside Lenoir Rhyne.  More teams appeared, leagues began to be formed.  Overthe last 15 years leagues have increased to over 700 within the lower 48 states.  

Scouts seek out league representative or team owners for references to their combines.  Many players go on to arena football, some to European football and there are a few that play for the NFL.  

Our tradition of excellence has led us to many regular season and playoff victories. As a member of the Central Carolinas Football League, our league focuses on quality teams with a minimum amount of travel.  Most of our games are within ninety minutes of our home field.

We have teams in Concord, Charlotte, Statesville, High Point, Durham, Salisbury,   Monroe, Thomasville, and Rockingham.  Two teams are located in SC. Those teams are Greenville and Indian Land. 

2008 should be a record-breaking season for the HORNETS.
